Tips & Exercises
Over the years, various writers have contributed tips and exercises that they have found useful to kick-start the muse, overcome writer's block or to explore a particular aspect of writing they have found challenging. Kick-start your own muse by trying some of the tips or exercises in this section. Check out Writing for Radio or follow Mike Timm's suggestion to err... follow someone. It's not stalking, it is character research!
Book Reviews
Eblana members, like many writers, read widely. They have contributed reviews of some of the books that made an impression on them - some for the right reasons, and some for the wrong reasons. The reviews are a mix of hot-off-the-shelf and a selection of old favourites, revisted. See if you agree with their critiques, or submit your own review.
Links
The Internet hosts an ever-increasing library of writing resources. Eblana has created links to some of the most useful or interesting sites as well as to affiliates and sister organisations. Check out the excellent BCC Writers Room or stay closer to home with a visit to Irish Pen. We will shortly be adding 'associates' links so email us if you would like a reciprocal link to your page.
Sunday Tribune Hennessy New Irish Writing Awards - ongoing
